What I've been busy with:
Picking up the pieces I’d left behind Remembering how it was like Struggling to read Struggling to write Playing the same couple of songs on repeat Searching for the confidence I once had Detesting the mediocre me Doubting myself Believing myself Embracing honesty Dreaming the dreams I once had Feeling thankful for everything and everyone around me Rediscovering the things I used...

moments strung together like cheap beaded necklaces
words held together by neon-coloured velcro straps
truth peppered with dashes of lies
a mixtape of songs i never liked
and i could be making sense
like i always do.

That line in Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist keeps me believing.
Remember some time ago, when I mentioned that I will look for an organisation to volunteer with regularly, and not take on any more community service projects in the near future? Out of nowhere, an elderly day care centre is now being constructed two blocks away from my home. I think they’ve just found themselves their very...
